Pit Stop Programme

The pandemic has seriously affected the workforce in Hong Kong. The unemployment rate has soared to 7%, an all-time high in 17 years, leaving workers from different positions struggling. In view of the vulnerable position of middle-aged people who are confronted with job loss and resulting hardships, our Foundation will soon launch the new “Pit Stop Programme” to support Golden Agers to readjust and adapt to the rapidly changing employment landscape. The programme is open to individuals with at least 10 of work experience.

As participants progress through the training programme, mock interviews and information sessions were held with HR professionals from the Hong Kong Broadband Network, Sun Life Financial, Swire Properties and Culture Homes to help participants gain the latest development of various industries. Additionally, we also held career counselling sessions for participants to identify and set clear goals and boost productivity and determination as they transition into new career paths.
