Smart Health in the Next Normal
The pandemic has accelerated the pace of development of smart medical care. The World Health Organization defines "smart medical care" as the application of information and communication technology in medical and health care. This session will discuss how the ecological model of medical care has changed after COVID-19; the application and challenges of telemedicine in Hong Kong; the use of medical big data and how consumers can use "smart medical care" to manage health and prevent diseases.

As an Executive Director of the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node, Dr Charleston Sin leads the effort to organize, champion, and advocate for innovation in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. He is a 25-year veteran of the Information technology and telecommunications industry. Prior to joining MIT, Dr Sin held executive positions in Research & Development, Product Management, and Sales & Marketing at VMware, Cisco Systems, and Nortel Networks in United States, Canada, Asia Pacific, and Greater China. Dr Sin received his PhD in Management Sciences at The University of Waterloo. Currently, he is a member of the board of director of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company.

David Wong is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Doctor Now Limited, overseeing the business strategy and operating model of various healthcare services provided by DoctorNow.
He is an industry veteran with extensive experience in senior executive roles and in managing sizeable operations across healthcare and health insurance segments.
He is dedicated to promoting innovation and reformation in healthcare delivery to optimize the conventional healthcare practice in Hong Kong. Specialized services are developed for different community groups, including telemedicine and in-home healthcare, to provide them with one-stop, door-to-door and convenient healthcare experience.
He holds a Master degree in Public Health and a Bachelor degree in Arts from the University of Hong Kong.
